Back Acne Treatment

back-acneBack acne is a not as often experienced as  acne on the face and neck, but its causes and treatment for acne are about the same.

Sebaceous glands on the back are larger and they can produce more oil than those on the face.  These larger glands may be the cause for more severe lesions such as nodules and cysts on a more frequently bases.  Back acne, due to its location, is a body area that is hard to access for cleaning and treatment and the skin is also much thicker than on the face, making it more challenging to find a back acne treatment that is effective.

If your acne is present only on your back, but not on your face or other parts of your body, it could be caused by an external irritant. Anything that rubs your skin can cause irritation, for example the washing powder you use or your shower gel. Read more
